The Burnout Syndrome (work overload) is a fatigue and exhaustion feeling. The people who suffer this disorder feel extreme exhaustion and often, internal void. There are a lost of motivation in the work and behavior changes. This attitude change is associated with "bad manners" or rude treatment, and it is a key to detect a Burnout case.
Side effects of Burnout Syndrome: increased risk of alcoholism and take drugs, sleep disorder (ex: insomnia), lowered defenses, muscle pain, joint pain, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal problems.
Ways to avoid Burnout Syndrome:
- Set your job prospects to reality: it isn't necesary a job change to avoid the frustration or not feel satisfied with the work. We must adjust what we hope from our job and what we can get from it.
- Get good relationships into and out the job: manage conflicts correctly, have a positive attitude and enjoy the good moments.
- Get a work schedule and take a rest routine: we must avoid long workdays. Manage your time correctly and try to be productive in the work.
- Keep healthy habits: practise physical exercise to let out adrenaline, eat well and with fixed schedule.
- Practise relaxation: the stress can change our conduct and frame of mind. To avoid this, we have to practise relaxation after workday or before sleep.
- Disconnect and enjoy the time with your hobbies and your family: our personal satisfaction will be better if we do this all days when we finish work.
